States with the Largest Homes

It only makes sense that the states with the largest homes are in the West. There’s more space and it’s less populated. And everything is bigger in Texas (except homes in UT, CO, WY, and MT, which tend to be larger than those in the Lone Star State).

Here are the #s:

1. Utah

Median home size: 2305 sq ft.
Median lot size: 10,019 sq ft. (.23 acre)
Median price: $219,900

2. Colorado

Median home size: 2126 sq ft.
Median lot size: 10,202 sq ft. (.23 acre)
Median price: $275,000

3. Wyoming

Median home size: 2052 sq ft.
Median lot size: 21,780 sq ft. (.5 acre)
Median price: $226,500

4. Montana

Median home size: 2040 sq ft.
Median lot size: 73,616 sq ft. (1.69 acre)
Median price: $250,000

5. Texas
